(June 22, 2018) Night two of the annual 'Firecracker 100' was held earlier this evening at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and another $6,000 paycheck was on the line for the 40 Super Late Model entrants. Chris Madden, who scored the victory in night one of the three day extravaganza, posted the third quickest time in Group B during World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series qualifying and later ran second in heat race action. Chris then rolled off from the inside of the third row in the 30-lapper and blasted past a pair of racecars on his way to a third place podium effort behind only victor Michael Norris and runner-up Devin Moran!

"SMOKEY" WINS $10,000 ELDORA PRELIM; FIFTH IN DIRT LATE MODEL DREAM!
(June 10, 2018)
Chris Madden Racing (CMR) rolled into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 7-9 for the annual running of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' With Thursday's $5,000 to win prelim pushed back to Friday afternoon due to rain, Chris Madden started off his weekend by winning his heat race and leading the first twenty circuits in the 25-lap daytime affair until he hit the wall in turn one, which relegated him to a disappointing twenty-first place performance. Things turned around in a big way later that evening, as Chris ran second in his heat race prior to leading all 25 laps en route to a commanding $10,000 triumph over Shane Clanton, Bobby Pierce, Hudson O'Neal, and Ricky Weiss!

The Gray Court, South Carolina star then placed second in his stacked heat race on Saturday, which enabled him to roll off from the inside of the fifth row in the $100,000 to win 'Dirt Late Model Dream' headliner. Chris had then blasted up into the third position on lap 33 before a flat right rear tire sent him pitside. Chris Madden and the BWRC team celebrated in victory lane for the fourth time in 2018 on Saturday evening, May 5 in the annual 'Billy Clanton Classic' at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia! Chris swept the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series program on the "gray gumbo," as he earned Fast Time honors during qualifying, won his heat race, and led all fifty circuits in the headliner. "Smokey" beat Michael Page, Dale McDowell, Mike Marlar, and Brandon Overton to the checkered flag to bag the $10,000 winner's check, which stretched out his current WOOLMS point lead!!!

Earlier in the weekend, the #44 team entered similar $10,000 to win series shootouts at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia and Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. On Thursday night at Lavonia, Chris ran third in his heat race, but was coming to the front in the feature event until a broken rear-end relegated him to twentieth in the final finishing order. At nearby Cherokee on Friday, Chris won his heat race in preliminary action prior to claiming a third place podium effort in the A-Main behind only victor Mike Marlar and runner-up Shane Clanton. After finishing second in the final version of the 2017 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series point standings with six wins, Chris Madden formally announced today that he will start the 2018 campaign on the national tour with the hopes of competing for the series Championship! Chris, who confirmed a month ago his return to pilot the Barry Wright Race Cars (BWRC) "House Car" in 2018, will unload his new-look #44 machine for the first time during the annual 'Winter Freeze' at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on February 9-10. The first two WOOLMS shootouts of '18 will pay $8,000 and $10,000 to win respectively. CHRIS MADDEN RETURNS TO BWRC HOUSE CAR IN 2018!
(December 2, 2017)
Gray Court, South Carolina star Chris Madden and Hall of Fame car builder Barry Wright jointly confirmed today that they will team up for the 2018 racing season. Chris will return to pilot the BWRC House Car next year, as he previously did in 2002, 2003, and portions of the 2005-2006 seasons. The newly-formed team will most likely follow a "pick and choose" type of schedule in 2018, but a return to the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series tour for Madden has not been completely ruled out.

Chris' familiar #44 will adorn the doors of the BWRC cars, which will be powered by Clements engines and sport sponsorship from Century Plastics, Millwood Plumbing, Henderson Amusement, Harrod Logging, Davis Diesel Service, and C&H Paving. The potent cars will be housed and maintained at BWRC by Barry Wright, Lance Wright, and a soon-to-be-hired crewman.
