LANIGAN SUFFERS
CONCUSSION IN SEASON-ENDING WEEKEND...
(November
6, 2020) The Viper Motorsports team and
driver Darrell Lanigan ventured to the pristine Dirt Track at
Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina for a pair of midweek specials
on November 4-5. The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late
Model Series wrapped up their 2020 season with the 'Last Call'
and a pair of $12,000 top prizes were up for grabs. On Wednesday
night at the Charlotte-area speedplant, Darrell clicked off
the thirteenth fastest lap in Group A during qualifying, but
was unfortunately caught up in a couple of different incidents
in his heat race. The last of which sent him hard into the outside
retaining wall and forced the #29 team to scratch for the remainder
of the night.
Another $12,000 winner's check was then on the
line at the 4/10-mile oval in the WOOLMS season finale on Thursday
evening. Unfortunately, Darrell complained of headaches and
went to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with having
a concussion from Wednesday's heat race incident. The Union,
Kentucky native skipped the season finale and dropped to sixth
in the final national touring series point standings. Complete
results from both season-ending 'Last Call' programs can be
viewed online by clicking on www.woolms.com.

were on hand at the sprawling 1/2-mile oval to do battle for
the hefty $20,000 payday. On Friday night during preliminary
action at Bedford, Darrell Lanigan earned Fast Time honors during
the qualifying session prior to winning both the semi-feature
and the dash. After rolling off from the pole position in Saturday's
60-lap feature event, Darrell was hampered by a hard tire selection
and wound up finishing third behind only race winner Gregg Satterlee
and runner-up Mason Zeigler. Full results from the 'Keystone

and finished second in his heat race prior to driving up to
third to land on the podium in the 50-lapper behind only race
winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Brandon Sheppard.

won his heat race and later led the first 22 circuits of the

TOP TEN FOR LANIGAN
IN INTERCONTINENTAL CLASSIC PRELIM
(September
13, 2020) Viper Motorsports made the
trek to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 10-12
for the 'Intercontinental Classic,' which was a fan-less event
that took the place of the annual 'World 100.' The three-day
weekend kicked off with a pair of $10,000 to win preliminary
programs. On Thursday night in the opener, Darrell Lanigan narrowly
missed out on the 30-lap feature after finishing eighth in his
heat race and fourth in his B-Main. At the "Big E"
on Friday evening in a similar showdown, Darrell placed third
in his loaded heat race prior to claiming a solid tenth place
effort in the 30-lapper.
At Eldora Speedway on Saturday, a whopping $50,000 windfall
was on the line in the 'Intercontinental Classic' finale. Darrell
once again earned the third transfer spot through his heat race
and later rolled off from the inside of the sixth row in the
67-lap headliner. The Union, Kentucky ace fought hard for a

6, 2020) The Viper Motorsports team invaded
Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia and Lancaster Motor Speedway
in Lancaster, South Carolina over the September 4-5 weekend
for a pair of World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series
shootouts, which both paid out $10,000 to the winner. At Lavonia
on Friday night, Darrell Lanigan ran fifth in his loaded heat
race, but was unfortunately caught up in a wreck during the
50-lap headliner and was relegated to a disappointing twenty-second
place showing. On Saturday evening at Lancaster, Darrell won
his heat race in preliminary action, but a flat left rear tire
in the 50-lapper helped drop the Union, Kentucky standout to
a thirteenth place effort. Darrell now finds himself fifth in
the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings. Full results

headed to the Keystone State for a World of Outlaws Morton Buildings
Late Model Series triple shot from August 20-22. On Thursday
night at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania in the
'Billy Vacek and Huey Wilcoxon Memorial,' Darrell timed in fourth
fastest in Group B during qualifying prior to securing a heat

way to an eighth place showing in the contest, which was organized
by Viper Motorsports owners Shawn and Lisa Martin.
At Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

of qualifying heat races were on tap to help determine the line-up
for Saturday's $50,000 to win 'USA Nationals.' Darrell ran sixth
in his first heat race of the night, while he placed second
in his final prelim. By virtue of racking up the thirteenth

off from the inside of the seventh row in the 100-lap crown
jewel headliner on Saturday. The Union, Kentucky star was eventually
relegated to another nineteenth place showing in the 'USA Nationals'

Buildings Late Model Series from July 28-August 4, as the national
touring series sanctioned events in Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Debuting a new paint scheme on Tuesday, July 28 on the 1/4-mile
